Renowned Spanish potter Tito returns to the United States to demonstrate the ancient pottery techniques that have made Tito Pottery world famous. As the grandson of one of the most popular pottery artisans in twentieth century Spain, Tito continues his work today with the same love and dedication his father and grandfather shared before him.
In the 1970s, when many of the pottery artisans of that region gave up their craft due to the influx of new materials for the household, i.e.plastics and inexpensive glassware, Tito’s father chose not only to continue the technique and tradition of his previous generation, but to save it for future generations. Tito’s pottery, offered exclusively in this country at Carter & Cavero, is fashioned in the shapes of myriad antique vessels in a beautiful range of colored glazes, most notably the rich hallmark green of the Ubeda region located in Andalucia, Spain. Each piece of Tito pottery is a unique collectible, combining both function and art.
Please come visit Tito and experience first hand this ancient skill that has been preserved through time by the hands of a dedicated and talented potter. Tito will be at the following Carter & Cavero locations and dates:
